A 26-year-old journalist, Rukayat Motunrayo Shittu, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Saturday’s House of Assembly election in Kwara State has emerged victorious at the poll.
By this development, Shittu has become the youngest lawmaker-elect in the history of Kwara State.
Shittu will be representing Owode/Onire Constituency at the State House of Assembly.
She was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) after polling 7,521 to defeat PDP Abdullah Magaji, who polled 6,957 and other candidates.
